Comment | Deleteion of the tssB1 gene in those predatory strains that were genetically tractable, which abrogated their interbacterial killing capacity. Significant killing of E. coli by the WT E. hormaechei strain DSM 30060 was observed when compared with its T6SS-1-deficient variant, while this was not the case when V. cholerae served as prey, suggesting a certain degree of target specificity. |
