Description | Use a transposon mutant library and screened mutants for Hcp secretion result that a VgrG homolog inhibits the T6SS is against the current paradigm of VgrG function.Hcp was detected in the supernatant fraction of ΔvgrGi but not WT AbCAN2 or the complemented strain (vgrGi+), indicating that VgrGi inhibits the T6SS of AbCAN2 and VgrGi-mediated T6SS inhibition is due to a leucine-to-arginine mutation. |
