| Description | PepA directly binds to the esrB promotor and inhibits the transcription of esrB at an early state of growth, the transcription of EsrB-repressed genes ethA/ethB were repressed in ΔpepA, while the EsrB-activated T3/T6SS genes, i.e. esrB, evpA and eseB, were up-regulated in ΔpepA and over-expression of the pepA gene led to significantly decreased T3/T6SS production. |
