Description V52 lacking immunity genes or facing a T6SS attack by A. dhakensis were indeed highlysensitive to killing when pre-cultured at 37°C but were impressively protected after growth at 30°C. This protection was largely dependent on VPS, as the equivalent ΔvpsA mutants showed significantly reduced survival.
