In this species, transformation by exogenous DNA is regulated by the presence of a specific DNA Uptake Sequence (DUS) (PMID: 23637627).
Eight distinct DUS dialects were identified by Frye et al (PMID: 23637627). Here we analyzed the abundance of these 8 DUS dialects by using the perfect match identified by BLASTn-short.
